Seahawks free safety Quandre Diggs suffered a major leg injury in the team’s final quarter of their final game of the 2021 season. Not far from the cursed endzone in Glendale, Diggs went down with what was later revealed to be a broken fibula as well as a dislocated ankle.
Last night, Diggs shared a video on Twitter of him training at this time one year ago, reflecting on his recovery. Diggs revealed that he couldn’t even cut until a month and a half before the 2022 season started.
Crazy how much a year change things… Couldn’t cut until a month and a half before the season and still played every snap! pic.twitter.com/m9Br8XykUg

Diggs started the season slow, but he steadily got better and by the stretch run he was playing every bit as well as in 2021. At the end of the season he’d only allowed a 60.7 passer rating in coverage. For his efforts, Diggs was named to his third consecutive NFC Pro Bowl team.
Since joining the Seahawks halfway through the 2019 campaign, Diggs has posted a total of 17 interceptions and 27 pass breakups.
