The stars are coming out for the huge non-conference game between the Texas Longhorns and the Michigan Wolverines. Both Fox Big Noon Kickoff and ESPN College GameDay will be on hand in Ann Arbor as a part of the pregame festivities. The two media giants are pulling out all the stops.
“Minister of Culture” Matthew McConaughey and MLB Hall of Famer Derek Jeter will join the Fox pregame show. Jeter will also serve as Michigan’s honorary caption. Swimming legend Michael Phelps will serve as the College GameDay guest picker.
Now ESPN has announced that USC alum Will Farrell will join the pregame show.

Ferrell’s involvement is odd since he didn’t go to Michigan or Texas and doesn’t seem to have ties to either school. ESPN says he will have “appearances” throughout the show.
Ferrell was previously a guest picker on the College GameDay on Oct. 30, 2010, when USC hosted top-ranked Oregon. He and McConaughey also did a pregame bit together before the 2006 Rose Bowl between the Longhorns and the Trojans.
