Puff Morris could commit to USC women’s basketball very soon

#USC is in the mix for an elite point guard.

Aliyahna “Puff” Morris has offers from USC, Arizona State, Arizona, Louisville, Cal and Duke.

After being named the state freshman of the year in California by Cal-Hi Sports in 2021-22, Morris took leap as a sophomore to lift Etiwanda to its first Open Division state title. She averaged 17.3 points, 4.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.6 steals per game.

She’s ranked 18th in the country in her class and a top-five point guard in the 2025 class.

Puff is a highly-regarded prospect because she can put pressure on defenses in various situations. She has a reliable pull-up mid-range jumper. That will lead to very good scoring opportunities. Defenses will key on her and she can feed the ball to teammates in great spots on the floor. Scouts and observers are sold on her court vision.

With three Pac-12 schools also in the running in this recruitment (Arizona, Arizona State, and Cal), it would at least be cause for a sigh of relief at USC if Morris does not go to any of those other schools.
