Proposed trade sends Bogdanovic to Chicago, Caruso and White to Utah

The Bulls would add another veteran scorer on the wing yet their backcourt depth would take a serious hit.

As the NBA Finals are in full swing, the rest of the league are already brainstorming ways to better their chances of playing in June next season.

For the Chicago Bulls, they’re first priority is resigning two-time All-Star Zach LaVine, but they’ll need another big move to turn themselves into a contender in the Eastern Conference.

Eric Waldon of the Salt Lake Tribune came up with a Utah Jazz trade with every NBA team, and for the Bulls, that proposed trade landed them another veteran scorer on the wing.

Waldon proposed that Chicago send guards Alex Caruso and Coby White to Utah for forward Bojan Bogdanovic.

Waldon’s thinking:

Chicago finds a way to add some needed shooting. Utah is able to get younger, add one of the league’s underrated perimeter defenders, and also take a chance on a young PG who’s an ex-lottery pick.
Bogdanovic would certainly add another shooting presence on the wing for the Bulls but the loss of Caruso would loom large with how much of a positive he is on both ends of the floor for Chicago this season. And with the uncertainty of Lonzo Ball’s injury, losing two guards like Caruso and White wouldn’t make too much sense at the moment.
