Projected opening of Titans’ proposed new stadium pushed back

The projected year for the Titans to open their new proposed stadium has been pushed back.

As the Tennessee Titans and lawmakers sort through the process of approving a brand new $2.1 billion stadium, it was revealed the new venue is now expected to open a year later than original projections.

According to Jon Styf of the Tennessee Star, Titans reps and Metro staff confirmed that the projected date for the opening of the new stadium if approved will be in Fall 2027, not 2026.

The next step for the approval process is a March 27 meeting between the Metro Nashville Council and East Bank Stadium Committee, where details of the financing for the new stadium will be explained.

After that, the final vote is expected to be April 18.

Also in Styf’s report, the team is projected to make about $270 million off of personal seat licenses, which will go toward building the Titans’ new home.

That is included in the $840 million the franchise is putting up, with $200 million of that figure coming from the league.
