The Tennessee Titans surprised us all when they righted the ship after a 2-4 start, making it all the way to the AFC Championship Game.
The team missed out on a Super Bowl appearance with a 35-24 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, but that doesn’t take away from how impressive the turnaround was.
And heading into the upcoming season, Pro Football Focus expects the Titans to have a high level of success, ultimately winning the AFC South division.
In PFF’s 2020 season simulations, the Titans came away with the division crown 46 percent of the time. That was better than the Indianapolis Colts (26 percent), the Houston Texans (22 percent) and the Jacksonville Jaguars (six percent).
The network’s George Chahrouri noted the Titans were third in offensive efficiency in 2019 with Ryan Tannehill under center, and also pointed out the standout rookie season of A.J. Brown, who ranked third among all wide receivers in PFF grade from Week 7 on.
Chahrouri says the Titans got a steal in 2020 second-round Kristian Fulton, who he believes will bolster the team’s secondary in 2020.

Along with an intriguing rookie class, the return of Tannehill and and Brown looking to expand upon last year’s success, the Titans secured running back Derrick Henry this offseason by placing the franchise tag on him.
Only time will tell if the Titans can build on the 2019 momentum that took them to the AFC Championship Game en route to taking that next step in 2020.
