The 2023 NFL draft is barely in the rearview, but we’re already beginning to turn our attention to players in next year’s class.
Pro Football Focus recently broke down the top 10 draft-eligible wide receivers in college football this season, and unsurprisingly, LSU star [autotag]Malik Nabers[/autotag] cracked the list.
Nabers had a huge sophomore season in 2022, cracking the 1,000-yard mark for the first time in his career as he emerged as quarterback [autotag]Jayden Daniels[/autotag]’ favorite target. Now, he enters 2023 expected to be perhaps the top receiver in the SEC and one of the best in the entire country.
Here’s what PFF wrote about Nabers.
Nabers was a monster after the catch this year, as his 21 forced missed tackles on receptions were the fifth most among Power Five receivers. Nabers’ 204 receiving yards after contact were also eighth in the Power Five.
Barring injury, Nabers should be set to exceed his production this fall. He has a very good chance of playing his way into first-round pick status, and he’s already on the radar of the draft apparatus.
