Many pieces of Auburn’s 2024 signing class turned into key contributors for the Tigers this season, including [autotag]Kaleb Harris[/autotag].
The Thompson High School product made 44 tackles with three pass deflections and a forced fumble during his true freshman campaign, which was strong enough for him to earn a place in Pro Football Focus’ All-Freshman team.
Harris logged the fourth-highest snap count among Tiger defenders in 2024 by participating in 608 plays. Only [autotag]Dorian Mausi[/autotag], [autotag]Kayin Lee[/autotag], and [autotag]Jerrin Thompson[/autotag] saw more field time than Harris. He finished the year as Auburn’s fifth-highest graded defender at 78.7, with tackling being his strong suit at 85.3.
Harris allowed 48% of targeted passes to be caught (12-of-25) for 118 yards and a touchdown. Opposing receivers gained 9.8 yards per catch and added 53 yards after catch when being guarded by Harris.
Harris is the second Tiger to be named to the All-Freshman team by Pro Football Focus. Cornerback Jay Crawford earned honors after allowing 13 receptions in 32 opportunities this season. In all, eight SEC players were included on this season’s All-Freshman squad.
