It’s important to find not only the holes on a team roster for this season, but also the areas in which they need depth and how contracts look at positions for the future. Teams structure their draft by those means most of the time and there’s no difference for the Dallas Cowboys.
The club did a great job during the offseason in addressing their biggest holes through trades. It allows them to move through the draft with ultimate flexibility, but there’s still a need to identify which positions are more immediate needs and which ones are more future facing.
