The Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team is selling out arenas and commanding prime time coverage. Caitlin Clark and her supporting cast, which is among the best in the nation, are the face of college basketball right now and networks want them in their prime time slots.
The Hawkeyes travel to College Park, Md., on Saturday, Feb. 3 to take on the Maryland Terrapins at 7 p.m. CT in a Big Ten showdown. The game is getting the “Fox Primetime Hoops” treatment.

Iowa (19-2, 8-1 Big Ten) sits atop the conference. The Terrapins (12-8, 4-5) are middle of the Big Ten pack.
Caitlin Clark, Fox’s draw to this prime time game, is averaging 32 points, 7.1 rebounds and 7.6 assists per game. Alongside her are Kate Martin and Hannah Stuelke who average 12.6 and 12.2 points per game, respectively.
What makes the Hawkeyes so dangerous is their outside shooting. Seven Hawkeyes are shooting better than 31% from 3-point range. Kate Martin has hit 23 shots from deep while Gabbie Marshall has knocked down 29 3-point shots.
So, hunker down on Saturday night and get Fox on the TV. The Iowa Hawkeyes are not only the biggest draw in women’s college basketball, but this type of treatment shows how big of a draw they are among all basketball.
