Tight end Luke Price made his first ever trip to the end zone with Clemson’s third touchdown of the half.
Price was in the right place at the right time, coming away with the 3-yard touchdown grab after quarterback D.J. Uiagalelei scrambled in the pocked and found the tight end wide open in the back corner of the end zone.
It all came down to a costly error for Miami quarterback Jacurri Brown, who threw a pass that was muffed by safety R.J. Mickens and intercepted by Jalyn Phillips, giving the Tigers prime field position on the 24 yard line in Miami territory.
Clemson came up with its third touchdown of the day and second touchdown reception in six plays and 27 yards in 2:34.
