Previous Georgia RB commit makes verbal commitment to SEC East school

Tovani Mizell decommitted from Georgia earlier in the recruiting process

Former Georgia Bulldogs running back commit Tovani Mizell has decided where he plans to play college football. Mizell has verbally committed to the Kentucky Wildcats.

Mizell committed to Kentucky over Oklahoma and North Carolina. The three-star running back is ranked as the No. 529 recruit in the class of 2024, per 247Sports. Mizell is the No. 42 running back and the No. 76 recruit in Florida.

The 6-foot, 195-pound running back recruit plays high school football for Western High School in Davie, Florida. Davie is located near Miami and Fort Lauderdale.

Georgia may not be playing Kentucky as often anymore, but the Dawgs are Wildcats will still be competing on the recruiting trail.

Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee have commitments from a pair of talented running backs in the 2024 recruiting cycle. Georgia’s two verbal commitments at running back in the class of 2024 are four-star speedster Dwight Phillips Jr. and four-star Chauncey Bowens, a former Florida commitment. The Bulldogs have the No. 1 recruiting class in the country.

Kentucky is not the only SEC East program to have recruiting success recently. Florida is one of the hottest recruiting programs in the country right now.
