Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling doesn’t go with President Donald Trump’s views. That is why it was surprising the president said Wednesday he thinks the exiled quarterback deserves another shot in the NFL.
“Absolutely I would,” support Kaepernick getting a second shot in the NFL, the president told Scott Thuman, the Chief Political Correspondent for Sinclair.

The words come on the same day the Los Angeles Chargers added Kaepernick to their emergency workout list.
“If he deserves it, he should,” Trump said. “If he has the playing ability. He started off great and then he didn’t end up very great in terms of a player. …
“So, his playing wasn’t up to snuff,” Trump said. “The answer is absolutely I would, as far as kneeling, I would love to see him get another shot. But obviously, he has to be able to play well. If he can’t play well, I think it would be very unfair.”
