This isn’t last year’s LSU vs. Texas A&M matchup.
In fact, it’s far from it, as the No. 5-ranked Aggies are favored by two touchdowns this time around after the Tigers defeated them 50-7 in Tiger Stadium in 2019.
It will certainly be interesting to see how things shake out for a 3-3 LSU team that seems to have finally gotten its feet back under it with quarterback TJ Finley rebounding in the team’s 27-24 victory over Arkansas.
Here’s a look at the predictions and what the experts are saying ahead of the game.
Pete Fiutak, College Football News
LSU has alternated loss-win-loss-win all the way through, and now, after a nice win over Arkansas …
Texas A&M hasn’t been able to play over the last few weeks, and now it should be ready to play like it’s a half-step faster. It’s still in the College Football Playoff discussion, and it’s going to look like it.
David Cobb, CBS Sports
Texas A&M’s 62% third-down success rate leads the nation and the Aggies typically dominate time of possession. But LSU dominated time of possession and held Arkansas to 0-for-10 on third-down conversions last week. So what gives? The Tigers defense is improving, but it has yet to demonstrate consistency, so the bet here is that Texas A&M’s rushing attack will keep rolling. Considering the 50-7 shellacking LSU put on Texas A&M last season and the fact that the Aggies need to impress the committee, look for Texas A&M to pull away in the second half for a comfortable victory. Pick: Texas A&M -14
For The Win, USA TODAY
Prediction: I want to pull for LSU and think they can cover but they have struggled on defense all season, with all that talent they just can’t seem to get going, maybe today is the day?
Asked Erik McCoy for his LSU vs. Texas A&M prediction.
"A&M 50, LSU 7."

Does Texas A&M come out rusty vs LSU? Or is LSU really not that good this season and A&M will win regardless?
