Prediction from On3 says Huskers to win six-seven games

Another prediction on how the 2022 season may play out for the Cornhuskers!

As we move closer to the start of the 2022 college football season, more predictions continue to be released. On3’s J.D. Pickell has made his prediction known and he believes that things will be an improvement in Lincoln from 2021. Pickell believes that Texas transfer quarterback Casey Thompson will be a significant factor in Nebraska taking that a big leap. He says,

” In my personal opinion, Casey Thompson has a chance to be the most impactful transfer in all of college football.”

Those are big words about Thompson and the role he could play for the Huskers in 2022, but what does it transfer to on the field. Pickell continues,

“I’m not saying they’re going to win the Big Ten. I’m not saying they’re going to play for the conference. I’m saying, for Nebraska, they can be worlds better. I would say they’re gonna be close to six or seven wins, which is three or four wins better than they were last season. You’ll take that if you’re Nebraska because for Scott Frost, you’ll probably get to keep your job. For Casey Thompson, you’re probably doing some good things on the stat sheet.”

Most early predictions have Nebraska between six and eight wins headed into the upcoming campaign. However, Cornhusker Wire won’t be putting their final season predictions out till next month as we get closer to kickoff, so look out for that.
