Predicting the Titans’ practice squad after final cuts

After the Titans whittled down their roster to 53 on Tuesday, a look at how things might shake out with the practice squad.

Now that the Tennessee Titans have set their initial 53-man roster, the team will turn its attention to the practice squad over the next few days.

Players who were cut on Tuesday can be claimed by noon ET on Wednesday. Any player who is claimed will be added to the team’s 53-man roster. Those players who pass through waivers become free agents and can be added to practice squads.

Thanks to the International Pathway Program, the Titans can once again carry 17 players on their practice squad as long as tight end Thomas Odukoya is brought back.

All or the vast majority of the players on Tennessee’s initial practice squad will likely be players the team cut.

Because I can’t see into the future, this practice squad projection will include only players who have been cut by Tennessee. The only position not covered is quarterback, because the Titans are already carrying three on the 53-man roster.
