With the first week of preseason in the books, the first round of cuts has begun for the Chicago Bears, who will need to trim the roster from 90 to 85 players.

Cornerback Dionte Ruffin was one of the first cuts for Chicago, which he announced on Instagram. But there are four other players who will be cut between now and 3 p.m. CT on Tuesday.

While running back Tarik Cohen and offensive tackle Germain Ifedi are still on the Physically Unable to Perform list, they still count toward the 90-man roster.

Also, when the Jason Peters signing becomes official, the Bears will have to make a corresponding roster move, which essentially means that six players will be cut in all.
