The road to the final four-team College Football Playoffs will come to an end during championship week. On the slate, we have plenty of teams vying for those four spots.
The last remaining undefeated teams will likely own the four spots in the upcoming CFP ranking reveal. The Ohio State Buckeyes were the last undefeated team to fall after the loss to the Michigan Wolverines. The Georgia Bulldogs, Florida State Seminoles, and Washington Huskies all survived “Rivalry Week” with single-digit wins.
Going into this week, all four of those undefeated teams need wins to remain in the top four but it won’t be easy. There are four teams waiting in the wings to get their shot at the CFP. The aforementioned Ohio State Buckeyes along with the Alabama Crimson Tide, Oregon Ducks, and Texas Longhorns are all sitting at 11-1. The Buckeyes don’t have a title game, so they will wait and hope for some teams to fall.
It is sure to get wild this weekend with so much on the line including the conference championships themselves, as well as bowl berths.
The action begins on Friday night in Las Vegas as the Oregon Ducks look for retribution against the Washington Huskies. Washington came out victorious during their Week 7 matchup that ended in a 36-33 score.
