In a continued look at free agents the Arizona Cardinals could sign, we look at the recently released Emmanuel Sanders, who played last season for the New Orleans Saints.
Sanders has always been a very solid receiver, first with Pittsburgh and Denver, and more recently with San Francisco and New Orleans. Some detractors consider him a better number three now.
Last season was statistically his worst in some time, finishing with 61 receptions for 726 yards and five TDs, however his PFF grade was a very respectable 74.1.
The soon-to-be 34-year-old would add some great route running to the Cardinals and could play inside and outside, which would fit what Arizona could do. However, he has been on the market before and Arizona has not seemed to make a push to retain his services. Thus, it would be surprising to see them look to him this offseason.
However, Arizona seems to be in win-now mode and Sanders, after signing with the Saints last season, would likely want to sign with a contender.
What do you all think? Should Arizona bring in the veteran to add competition to the receiving corps?
