For the first time in a decade, the Oklahoma Sooners men’s basketball team will be led by a new head coach.
Following a 10-year run, Lon Kruger announced his retirement from coaching. He can now spend more time with the grandkids and less time focused on coaching the Sooners. During his stint with Oklahoma, Kruger led the team to a Final Four appearance in 2016 and won a total of 195 games. The Sooners appeared in the NCAA Tournament in seven of nine possible seasons with Kruger.
