We’ve got awhile to get until the 2020 NFL Draft. Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault is one of the reasons the upcoming draft class of wideouts is considered so deep.
Some years, he might be the top one taken. This year, he’ll likely be the third or fourth one off the board, according to various early mock drafts.
In that range is when he may be available for the Bills to take with the No.22 overall selection in the first round. There was a positive news update on him on Wednesday.
According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Shenault won’t need surgery on his case of osteitis pubis, an inflammation of the pubic bone.
By the draft, Shenault should be 100 percent. But he’s hoping to be good to go much sooner when the NFL Scouting Combine gets underway later this month. Per the report, folks around the NFL were concerned that Shenault suffered a core injury, which also affected him last season at Colorado.
In 2019, he had 56 catches for 763 yards and four touchdowns. The 6-foot-2 target had an even bigger year in 2018, with 86 catches for 1,011 yards and six touchdowns, plus another five rushing scores as a dual-threat player.
