Post-combine mock draft from Daniel Jeremiah gives Cardinals O-line help

Four tackles go in the top 10 of this post-combine draft.

At the NFL combine last week, one position group that was impressive was the offensive line. In terms of physical talent, this draft is loaded with talent at the top.

It is for this reason that NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has four linemen getting selected in the top 10 in his post-combine mock draft. The Arizona Cardinals get one of them with the eighth pick in first round.

He has them selecting Alabama tackle Jedrick Wills.

The Cardinals re-signed left tackle D.J. Humphries in February; adding Wills would give QB Kyler Murray two athletic bookends to work with.

Wills would be the third tackle selected. It would mean the Cardinals either grade several tackles higher than the top receiver or they believe they can land an impact receiver later in the draft. In Jeremiah’s mock, no receiver is taken at all until the 12th pick.

Wills ran the 40-yard dash in 5.05 seconds, had a 9-5 broad jump and a vertical leap of 34.5 inches, which matched the vertical leap of receiver CeeDee Lamb, only Wills weighed in at 312 pounds.
