We’ve reached the point of absolute absurdity with regard to the Browns’ and COVID-19 testing. What was initially eight players (four starters) testing positive this week has ballooned well past that and now includes starting QB Baker Mayfield AND primary backup QB Case Keenum.
Now Browns’ QB Case Keenum has tested positive for COVID, leaving QB Nick Mullens in line to start Saturday vs. the Raiders, sources tell @ByKimberleyA, @FieldYates and me. Baker Mayfield already has tested positive and is on the Reserve/COVID-19 list.

It puts the Browns down to third string QB Nick Mullens now in line to start.
Mullens could be without the team’s two top targets in WR Jarvis Landry and TE Austin Hooper who both were among those who tested positive earlier this week. They would need consecutive negative tests in the days leading up to Saturday’s game in order to be cleared to play.
Raiders fans may not feel any comfort from the prospect of facing Mullens. After all, Mullens had the best games of his career against the Raiders in 2018 in a 34-3 blowout. Mullens threw three touchdowns and had a passer rating of 151.9 in that game.
