The Chicago Bears (6-6) will play their second straight Thursday game when they host the Dallas Cowboys (6-6) in Week 14.
The Bears are coming off a 24-20 comeback victory over the Detroit Lions, where quarterback Mitchell Trubisky had his best game of the season and possibly his career. He’s continued to string together four solid performances, and the offense looked efficient for the first time this season. The defense struggled against Lions rookie quarterback David Blough in the first quarter, but they were able to come up big in the fourth quarter with a pair of stops.
The Cowboys, however, appear to be in free fall right now. They’re coming off an embarrassing 26-15 loss to the Buffalo Bills on Thanksgiving, where quarterback Dak Prescott, who was once in the MVP conversation, had another bad game against a tough Bills defense. Jason Garrett’s seat is on fire right now, and the Cowboys are in danger of losing their lead in the NFC East.
This is an important game for the Bears, who need to win to keep their playoff hopes alive. It’s certainly a winnable game, especially with the Cowboys struggling.
Can Trubisky continue his string of positive performances against the Cowboys? Will the Bears defense be able to pounce on a struggling Cowboys team? Can the Bears keep their slim playoff hopes alive with a victory?
Who wins on Thursday?
