Despite being one of the top pass-rushing free agents in 2020, Everson Griffen still does not have a team.
Griffen voided his contract with the Vikings this offseason. Then, he announced on Instagram that he would be leaving Minnesota.
Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reported that Griffen made that announcement prematurely, so that other teams would be alerted to his availability.
There have been even more wrinkles to this story. Griffen recently told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network “never say never” about a possible return to the Vikings.
However, multiple teams still have interest in Griffen, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, with the Cardinals being one of those teams.
Griffen had eight sacks and an interception last year. Ifeadi Odenigbo seems like the presumptive replacement for Griffen, unless of course the team is able to re-sign him.
So Vikings fans, what do you think? Will Minnesota re-sign Griffen this offseason or will he go to a different team?
