As if their season could get any worse, the Jacksonville Jaguars were hit with an haymaker from the NFLPA Monday after Dante Fowler Jr. won a grievance against them for being wrongfully fined for his offseason rehab process. In their statement, they basically told future free-agents to avoid signing with the team and stated that a whopping 25% of the league’s recent grievances were filed against the organization.
After the report surfaced, it didn’t take long for the fanbase to point out the main issue behind the Jags’ run-ins with the NFLPA: Tom Coughlin. Surprisingly (well, at least to some), the Jags have remained silent on the issue and it appears owner Shad Khan doesn’t plan to make a statement about it. With that being the case, some believe he may speak when the season ends, but that has yet to be determined.
Some also feel as though the Jags will wait until the postseason to part ways from Coughlin, who inevitably won’t be in the teams future plans. However, to begin the long journey of repairing the team’s image, it might be wise of Khan to ask him to put in his resignation or fire him as soon as possible.
Now, we’d like to hear from you all at home on the matter. Should the Jags just get it over with and part ways with Coughlin ASAP? Feel free to vote in the poll below.
