The Arizona Cardinals added depth to the linebacker room with the signing of former Green Bay Packer Krys Barnes. He signed a one-year deal worth a total of less than $1.04 million.
He gets the league minimum in salary and a small $25,000 signing bonus.
He was a starter for the first two years he was in the league with the Packers and had at least 80 tackles in both 2020 and 2021.
An ankle injury limited him to only six games in 2022.
He also played 230 special teams snaps for the packers over three seasons.
Based on his salary, he is not guaranteed a spot on the roster and he isn’t likely to start, but he does add experience to the bench should someone get hurt.
He comes at a low price.
