You better bust out that pokédex and keep an eye out for shinies, as the festivities in Pokémon GO are about to begin.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022 is a global event where aspiring trainers can participate in event-specific challenges, complete special raids, earn sweet costumes, and much more. There’ll be a two-day event from June 4 through June 5, with a massive finale on Aug. 27, 2022. Remember, it doesn’t matter where you live for these, as it’s a worldwide event.
However, there will be three in-person Pokémon GO events coinciding with the celebrations. These are specific to certain cities, and The Pokémon Company insists that everyone abide by local guidelines while having fun.
Pokémon GO Fest 2022 in-person events schedule
- July 1 through July 3, 2022, in Berlin, Germany
- July 22 through July 24, 2022, in Seattle, WA, USA
- Aug. 5 through Aug 7, 2022, in Sapporo, Japan

These will be the first in-person Pokémon GO events since 2019, when thousands of trainers took to the streets in Chicago, Yokohama, and Dortmund. So it’s been a long time coming.
