The Philadelphia 76ers entered the 2018 NBA Playoffs on a high note. The team ended the regular season on a 16-game winning streak and they were the 3 seed in the East. Everything was good in Philadelphia for a team making their first playoff appearance since 2012.

The Sixers welcomed in a veteran Miami Heat team led by future Hall of Famer Dwyane Wade off their bench and they would give the Sixers a bit of a battle, especially with Philadelphia missing star big man Joel Embiid as well.

That is until Ben Simmons stepped on the floor and made everything look easy. Simmons wowed in his playoff debut going for 17 points, nine rebounds, and 14 assists in a 130-103 win over Miami in Game 1. He was aggressive getting to the basket and he shot 10 free throws making seven of them. There was not much Miami could really do in this situation.

Game 1 would prove to be a stepping stone for the Sixers in this series as they would go on to win the series 4-1 fairly easily. Wade and the Heat did bounce back and take Game 2, but Philadelphia was just too much for them.
