Coming off a 47 point effort against the Boston Celtics on Saturday night, Steph Curry showed no signs of slowing down against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday.
The seven-time All-Star point guard led the Warriors past the eastern conference-leading Sixers with a game-high 49 points on 14-of-28 shooting from the floor with five assists and three rebounds in 37 minutes. Behind Curry, the Warriors pushed past the Sixers in an upset victory on the road, 107-96.
Curry caught fire from long distance, drilling 10 triples on 17 attempts from deep. Curry’s effort against Philadelphia was the sixth time in the 2020-21 campaign he drilled 10 or more 3-pointers.
Reaching 49 points, Curry surpassed Kobe Bryant as the only player to tally 30 or more points in 11 consecutive contests at age 33 or older. During his 11 game run, the two-time Most Valuable Player is averaging 40 points on 54.1% shooting from the floor and 49.7% from beyond the arc in 35 minutes per contest.
