PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia 76ers returned home on Saturday to play host to the Brooklyn Nets while facing adversity. The Sixers were missing Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, De’Anthony Melton, and Robert Covington as their challenge against the scrappy Nets became an uphill climb.

The Sixers never stood a chance. Brooklyn jumped on them early as they trailed by 25 in the first half. The Sixers had a tough time matching the energy the Nets played with and it resulted in a 136-121 loss at home. Cam Thomas had 40 and Mikal Bridges had 23 for Brooklyn.

Philadelphia was led by Tyrese Maxey with 23 points and five assists, Kelly Oubre Jr. added 16 points, and Danuel House Jr. added eight points. KJ Martin had 11 off the bench, Patrick Beverley had nine and nine assists Terquavion Smith had 14 points, and Ricky Council IV had five and five rebounds while Jaden Springer had 11 and five boards.
