NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets played the third game of its In-Season Tournament slate at Barclays Center on Tuesday against the Orlando Magic and won 124-104.

For the Nets, Spencer Dinwiddie had 29 points and nine assists while Mikal Bridges had 21 points and four steals. Cam Johnson had 20 points and Royce O’Neale had 13 points off the bench.

For the Magic, Franz Wagner had 21 points and eight rebounds while Paolo Banchero had 19 points and six rebounds. Goga Bitadze had 14 points and Moritz Wagner had 11 points off the bench.

In the first half, the Nets came out like a team knowing that they had to make every second count as they got out to the 14-point lead in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, through a series of miscues and fouls to Nic Claxton and Day’Ron Sharpe, the Magic battled back into the game and ended up taking a 60-57 lead into halftime.

In the second half, both teams took shots to go back and forth with each other in the third quarter before things turned on its head. In the fourth quarter, Brooklyn finally became the team that some envisioned them to be as they were stout on the defensive end and turning defense into the offense in a huge way to run away with this game.
