Player grades: Nets’ Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson combine for 17 points in Team USA’s 92-62 win over Slovenia

Brooklyn Nets Mikal Bridges and Cam Johnson combined to score 17 points in Team USA’s 92-62 win over Slovenia. Here are their player grades.

Team USA played its second of five exhibition games on Saturday against Slovenia in Malaga, Spain and won 92-62.

For Team USA, Anthony Edwards had 15 points and three steals while Jalen Brunson had 11 points and eight assists. Tyrese Haliburton had 10 points and Austin Reeves had 10 points.

For Slovenia, Gregor Glas had 14 points and two rebounds while Zoran Gragic had eight points and one rebound. Jordan Morgan had seven points and Ziga Samar had five points.

In the first half, Team USA got off to a better start on the offensive end compared to how they began their prior contest against Puerto Rico. The Americans seemed to have more of a rhythm with each other on the offensive end and as the game went into the second quarter, Team USA turned up the pressure on the defensive end to build up a 16-point lead heading into the half.

In the second half, it was more of the same for both teams. Slovenia continued to struggle to score against the stingy defense of the United States while the Americans turned their defense into offense. It’s clear that Slovenia missed their best player, Dallas Mavericks superstar Luka Doncic, as they struggled to get anything going on the offensive end after the beginning stages of this exhibition.
