ORLANDO, Fla. — The Philadelphia 76ers began a quick 2-game, back-to-back road set by paying a visit to the Orlando Magic at the KIA Center on Friday night. The Magic, a scrappy team looking to make their move up the standings in the Eastern Conference, were looking to make a statement at home against a contending Sixers team.

Joel Embiid saw to it that the Sixers walked away with a 124-109 victory. The young Magic received another lesson in their development as the reigning league MVP went for 36 points on 12-for-22 shooting, seven rebounds, and four steals to lead the Sixers.

Tyrese Maxey added 32 points and five assists, Tobias Harris added 12 points, and Kelly Oubre Jr. added 15 while Marcus Morris Sr. added 10 and nine rebounds.
