Player grades: Cam Johnson scores 31 as Nets beat Rockets 123-114

Here are your Nets player grades for the last-minute win over the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.

NEW YORK — The Brooklyn Nets hosted the Houston Rockets at Barclays Center on Wednesday for the second and final matchup between the two teams this season and won 123-114. Brooklyn has swept the regular-season series 2-0.

For the Nets, Cam Johnson had 31 points and seven rebounds while Mikal Bridges had 27 points and six assists. Spencer Dinwiddie had 20 points and Nic Claxton had 18 points.

For the Rockets, Kevin Porter Jr. had 31 points and nine rebounds while Alperen Sengun had 21 points and 12 rebounds. Kenyon Martin Jr. had 15 points and Jalen Green had 14 points.

In the first half, both teams played an even first half as neither team shot particularly well in any facet of the game. Houston had the slight edge in rebounding (28-24) and points in the paint (30-22) as Alperen Sengun scored 12 points in the half. Brooklyn seemed to be sleepwalking through the half as they made unforced turnovers repeatedly, but they won the fastbreak points battle 12-9. Cam Johnson had 14 points.

In the second half, it was more of the same as Brooklyn could not find a way to separate from Houston. In fact, the Rockets amassed a 98-89 lead in the fourth quarter with 8:55 left before the Nets went on a 34-16 run the rest of the way. In the end, Brooklyn’s three-point shooting came through in the clutch in a way that it hasn’t much this season.
