The NFL world was shaken up last week when the San Francisco 49ers moved up to No. 3 in the 2021 NFL Draft, trading with the Miami Dolphins on Friday afternoon. Shortly after that, the Dolphins moved up as well by acquiring the No. 6 pick from Philadelphia to give themselves a top 10 pick.
That No. 6 overall pick could have some implications on where a former Florida Gators player lands, too.
In the latest DraftWire two-round mock draft by Luke Easterling, he has Florida’s Kyle Pitts going early at No. 6 to the Dolphins. That’s a good slot for the tight end who is projected to stay in the state of Florida.
Pitts has the talent to be a top 10 selection and depending on how the draft goes, he could be the first non-quarterback to be taken. That would mean he jumps Penei Sewell, the Oregon offensive tackle who is taken No. 5 in this draft.
