Pittman, Hogs get commitment from Fort Smith Southside lineman

Branham is the 12th player in Arkansas’ Class of 2024 and first offensive lineman.

Fort Smith Southside offensive lineman Kobe Branham committed to play football for Arkansas on Monday, one day after visiting campus.

Branham, a 6-foot-5, 320-pound Mavericks lineman, also had Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Southern Methodist and Oklahoma State in his top five. But his visit to Fayetteville was the second in as many weeks, and, as an Arkansas native, growing up a Razorbacks fan helped the Hogs’ cause.

When the recruitment process began, Branham was unranked. He’s since been evaluated as a three-star in the Class of 2024. Branham is also the first offensive lineman in the class to commit and the fourth player from the state of Arkansas, alongsice wide receivers Courtney Crutchfield and CJ Brown and defensive end Charleston Collins.

Branham is also the first player from Southside who will have signed with the Razorbacks in the last 20 years.
