A former Arizona State pitcher has officially joined the Nebraska softball team. Kylee Magee will join the Cornhuskers for the 2025 season.
Last season, she made only four starts before her season was cut short due to injury. As a freshman, she was named to the Pac-12 All-Freshman Team with four wins and a 3.17 ERA.
In two years in Tempe, she had a 3.51 ERA and 79 strikeouts in 89.2 innings. Head coach Rhonda Revelle praised the team’s recent addition.
“We have watched Kylee compete at the highest level since she was in 8th grade, and what we know is that every time she takes the mound, she pitches to win. Kylee is a gifted pitcher that adds a big piece to our talented pitching staff. We are so grateful that Kylee has chosen to be a Nebraska Cornhusker.”
Mcgee is one of six incoming transfers for the upcoming season. Of the six new Huskers for 2025, three played their high school softball in Nebraska.
The team will also see the return of Jordy Bahl, the former All-American and Women’s College World Series champion. Bahl transferred to Nebraska for 2024 but was forced to Redshirt after tearing her ACL in the season opener against Washington.
The Huskers are coming off a season that saw them finish 30-23 and miss out on an NCAA Tournament birth.
Give an official Big Red welcome to the newest member of the Husker family, RHP @magee_kylee!
