North Carolina was able to get back on track after their first loss of the season, beating Arkansas 87-72 to capture third place in the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Tar Heels leave the tournament going 2-1 at the event, beating Northern Iowa before falling to Villanova and then ending it with a win over the Razorbacks. They were tested throughout the tournament and got some valuable experience as they prepare to continue their tough non-conference schedule.
Friday’s win was big for a few reasons. The Tar Heels avoided getting their second loss of the year and did get a win over a ranked team. That should help build some confidence moving forward.
