Hubert Davis and the North Carolina Tar Heels moved to 7-1 on the year after beating Florida State in their Atlantic Coast Conference opener.
But they almost were the victim of an early season upset.
UNC fell behind in the first half and saw Florida State extend their lead early in the second half. A big run for the Tar Heels in the second half helped them gain the lead and never give it back as they finished strong. It was a good overall performance in the second half and a big answer for the Tar Heels.
