PHOTOS: A look at Tony Vitello through the years

Tony Vitello was hired as Tennessee’s head baseball coach on June 7, 2017.

He came to Tennessee after serving as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Arkansas from 2014-17.

Vitello served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at TCU (2011-13) and Missouri (2004-10). He was a volunteer assistant at Missouri in 2003 after serving as an associate coach for the Salinas Packers (2002).

Vitello played at Missouri (2000-02) and was a three-year letterwinner.

Under Vitello, Tennessee appeared in the College World Series three times (2021, 2023, 2024). The Vols won the national championship in 2024.

Vitello and the Vols also won the Southeastern Conference regular-season championship in 2022 and 2024, while winning the league’s tournament in 2022 and 2024.
