The Vols scored 11 runs in the third inning. 11 runs marked Tennessee’s most in an inning since scoring 15 in the fifth inning during a 23-1 victory against Alabama A&M on Feb. 22, 2023.
Christian Moore, Colby Backus, Billy Amick and Dean Curley hit home runs for Tennessee in the contest. The Vols also totaled 13 hits to East Tennessee State’s one.
Freshman Dylan Loy (1-0) made his Tennessee debut on Wednesday. He pitched one inning, recording two strikeouts, while not allowing a hit, run or walk.
