That’s now two-straight wins for the UNC basketball program following Saturday’s 71-63 result over Virginia in the Dean Dome.
UNC controlled the game from the start, jumping out to a 16-point lead at halftime over the Cavaliers. Despite a quick run by the Cavaliers, UNC was able to hold the lead in the second half and never got it fewer than six.
It was probably the best game the Tar Heels have played all season long as they clicked on both the offensive and defensive end of the floor. The win also gave UNC a Quad 1 win for the first time this season which will help their tournament resume moving forward.
