It was an emotional night at the Dean Smith Center as fans gave their final cheers to a few Tar Heel seniors. A night that started with “One more year” chants for [autotag]RJ Davis[/autotag], ended in UNC’s Hark the Sound School song after a massive 81-54 win against Notre Dame.
The first half displayed a dominant performance by the Tar Heels, as they shot 52% from the field while holding the Fighting Irish to 35%. UNC also kept Notre Dame’s three-point shooting in check, reversing the bad luck juju of teams not missing from deep, with the Fighting Irish going 1 for 8 in that department.
The second half continued UNC’s onslaught, dominating Notre Dame on both sides of the ball, going on a 16-0 run to kick off the period. A lot went right for the Tar Heels, as they sent their seniors off the right way while proving they can close out games.
