North Carolina came back home after two neutral-site games, losing one to No. 7 Florida and winning one against No. 18 UCLA. They welcomed into the Dean Dome, the Campbell Fighting Camels from the Coastal Athletic Association.

From the start, UNC basketball got out to a lead, taking an 11-point lead into the halftime break. They continued dominating into the second half, before putting the breaks on the show, winning the half by just five points.

Despite Seth Trimble being a late scratch, the guards for the Tar Heels picked up the slack as Ian Jackson dropped a career-high 26 points with five rebounds. RJ Davis had 23 points, setting records, while Elliot Cadeau finished with 12 points and 12 assists in the only double-double of the game.
