Tennessee returned to action on Sunday in the Knoxville Regional of the NCAA Tournament.
The Vols are a No. 1 overall seed and defeated No. 2 seed Southern Miss on Sunday at Lindsey Nelson Stadium. Tennessee was victorious, 12-3, and won the Knoxville Regional.
Zander Sechrist started for Tennessee and pitched 4.2 innings. He recorded three strikeouts and allowed three hits, four hits and three walks. Sechrist totaled 70 pitches, including 45 strikes, against 21 batters.
Nate Snead relieved Sechrist and pitched 4.1 innings and recorded three strikeouts.
Dean Curley, Dylan Dreiling, Cal Stark (2) and Kavares Tears hit home runs for the Vols.
