Penn State is adding an experienced stater at wide receiver courtesy of the transfer portal in 2023. [autotag]Devin Carter[/autotag], who announced his commitment to Penn State out of the transfer portal as Penn State was celebrating its Rose Bowl championship on the field of the Rose Bowl Stadium, and his addition to the roster in 2023 is a welcomed one.
Carter brings experience to the receiver position, which is something Penn State was hoping to add in 2023 by way of the transfer portal after the early signing period. It remains to be seen if he will be the team’s new go-to option, but there is little doubt he will be a key player in the offense in the fall. Carter was NC State’s second-leading receiver in 2022 and he will be a nice target for expected starting quarterback [autotag]Drew Allar[/autotag] in 2023.
