No. 20 Tennessee (6-2, 3-2 SEC) defeated Kentucky (5-3, 2-3 SEC), 33-27, on Saturday at Kroger Field in Lexington, Kentucky.
Saturday’s contest was the third for head coach Josh Heupel in the Tennessee-Kentucky football series. Heupel is now 3-0 against the Wildcats.
Quarterback Joe Milton III completed 18-of-21 passing attempts for 228 yards and one touchdown. He rushed for 26 yards on 10 attempts for the Vols.
Running back Jaylen Wright led Tennessee with 120 rushing yards. He scored one rushing touchdown.
Dont’e Thornton Jr. led the Vols in receiving yards (66), while Chas Nimrod scored one receiving touchdown.
