LSU’s four-game winning streak came to an end on Saturday night against Auburn with a 93-78 loss.
Coach Matt McMahon’s team trailed by 17 at the half, and Auburn stretched its lead out to as big as 28 points in the second half. Things looked dire for the Tigers, but they didn’t fold.
They went on a 21-2 run to cut the lead to single digits, but they couldn’t get it any closer than nine points as they ran out of steam in the final minutes.
It’s a disappointing first loss in SEC play for LSU, but it will have another opportunity for a big win as it hosts a 15-1 Ole Miss team on Wednesday night.
