Former Florida Gators wide receiver [autotag]Kadarius Toney[/autotag] set the Super Bowl and postseason franchise record for the Kansas City Chiefs with his 65-yard punt return in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Super Bowl LVII. But that was not his only big play, as he caught a touchdown pass from game MVP Patrick Mahomes earlier in the quarter to help fuel the comeback win against the Philadelphia Eagles.
The UF alumnus, who went by the nickname the “human joystick” while playing in the Swamp, was acquired in a midseason trade from the New York Giants — the team that originally drafted him in the first round at No. 21 overall in the 2021 NFL draft. Toney dealt with injuries this season that slowed his progress but he undoubtedly saved the best for last.
Take a look below at highlights from Toney’s standout performance in Super Bowl LVII in a winning effort for the Chiefs.
